Warranty

C&C provides a one (1) year warranty on workmanship. C&C will repair or make good any defects in its Workmanship arising within one year following completion (from date of service or final inspection) of the Workmanship for which the defect is claimed. The warranty is subject to the following: 1) C&C has been paid in full for the workmanship according to contract documents. 2) The warranty stands null and void if any modifications or changes are made to the products or materials used in connection with the work without the prior written consent of C&C. 3) Claims must be submitted in writing within 5 days of the defect becoming apparent along with as many photos as possible. C&C must be given a reasonable opportunity to investigate claims and to remedy defects. The transfer of this warranty must be submitted in writing, and the one-year time clock is not affected. Material defects are excluded from our one-year warranty. Please refer to the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranty will be denied if negligence, intentional misuse, or failure to properly maintain the work. More specifically, clogged drains, frozen pipes, and parts provided by clients are not warrantied.

Extras

Any extra materials, labor, or extra trips at no fault of C&C’s required above the Estimated Cost will be an extra charge. Any requested changes may lead to additional charges, which the client agrees to pay when requesting and approving them. Extra Trips will be charged travel time.

Change Orders

All change orders must be submitted to C&C before the work can be performed. If the work must be done immediately, the person on site authorizing it must submit a signed request to C&C. Any changes requested by the client to quantities, specifications, schedule, or other aspects of the services described in this estimate are not binding unless accepted by C&C in writing.

Underground Work

C&C will utilize Miss Utility to mark all utilities to the site. Prior to C&C commencing any work the Customer must advise the Company of the precise location of all underground services on the site and clearly mark the location. The underground mains and services the Customer must identify include, but are not limited to, telephone cables, fiber optic cables, electrical services, gas services, sewer services, pumping services, sewer connections, sewer sludge mains, water mains, irrigations pipes and oil pumping mains. Whilst the Company will take all care to avoid damage to any underground services the Customer agrees to indemnify the Company in respect of all any liability claims, loss, damage, cost, and fines because of damage to services not precisely located and notified pursuant to this clause. C&C is not responsible for mislocated or utilities we are unaware of.

Non-Plumbing work (other trades)

In some circumstances non-plumbing work needs to be done in conjunction with the plumbing work. Drywall or concrete may have to be removed for work to be completed. C&C may remove the drywall or concrete; however, C&C is not responsible for replacing it unless stated otherwise in the estimate. C&C is not responsible for any rough framing (with wood or metal) that may be required. C&C is not responsible for any electric work required unless stated otherwise in the estimate.

Water Treatment

C&C performs maintenance and installation of some water treatment equipment. It is the responsibility of the customer to properly maintain these pieces of equipment. It’s the customers’ responsibility to know the operating limitations of the equipment. C&C is not responsible for the safety of the customers’ water, although we strive to make the water as safe as possible. C&C sometimes will make recommendations on water treatment or courses of action. These are only recommendations. The final decision is the decision of the customer.

Cancellations

It is the right of C&C to charge a “Trip Charge” in the amount of 0.5 hours if we arrive to site and the customer informs us the job is cancelled on site. Cancellations should be made in writing or over the phone. A cancellation code will be given, and the customer will use the cancellation code to dispute and charges.
